Mini Apple Pie Tarts
This is an easy recipe for making mini apple pie tarts. I had a helper in the kitchen who doesn’t really know much about baking and with some instruction he was able to make these delicious treats!

Deliciously cute mini apple pie tarts for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 30 - Mini Tart Shells
- 4 - Apples
- 1/4 Cup - Butter
- 1/4 Cup - Brown Sugar
- 2 Tbsp - Water
- 2 tsp - Cinnamon
- A Dash of Nutmeg
- 1 tsp - Lemon Juice
For Thickening:
- 2 Tbsp - Water
- 2 Tsp - Cornstarch
For Egg Wash:
- 1 - Medium Egg
- 1 Tbsp - Water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 F.
- Peel, core and chop the apples into small pieces.
- Mix apple pieces with lemon juice in a bowl to prevent oxidization (browning), set aside.
- Melt butter in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Add apple and lemon mixture to pan and stir to coat apple pieces.
- Add brown sugar and 2 Tbsp of water to pan.
- Stir apple pieces coating in mixture for approximately 5 minutes.
- Mix cornstarch and 2 Tbsp of water in a small bowl and stir until smooth.
- Add cornstarch mixture to pan, stir to distribute the mixture over all the apple pieces.
- Remove from apple mixture from heat.
- Fill 15 mini tart shells with heaping amount of apples, place on a sturdy baking sheet.
- Remove other 15 mini tart shells from there tins and place over filled tart shells and seal edges with a fork.
- Mix egg wash and tart shells to help turn the tops golden brown.
- Sprinkle with sugar as a garnish if so desired.
- Bake tarts for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool and serve!
